Aster Pinocchio Mix was awarded a 1975 Fleuroselect Gold Medal for its dwarfness and excellent garden performance. The variety bears a mass of small, double, ball-shaped blooms, that form compact mounds. The dwarf cultivars of Chinese aster reach 15 to 30 cm high and bloom from late summer to well into autumn. Pinocchio Mixed is an excellent blend of lovely shades, including pink, red, crimson, purple and white. Very easy to grow from seed they are invaluable for beds and borders and an excellent cut flower.
