Gazania splendens Mini Star Tangerine

This unique variety awarded a Gold Medal in 1985 bears elegant, daisy-like flowers, light orange in colour in great profusion immediately above the foliage. The flowers are 6-7 cm in diameter and the serrated leaves are dark green on the upper side and attractively silvered on the reverse. They form ball-shaped cushions 18-20 cm in height. Mini Star Tangerine is easy to grow and has numerous uses in beds and containers. It is adaptable to a wide range of conditions.

Mini Star Tangerine is also the recipient of the All-America Selections award for performance in North American trials.

'Goldilocks' is an exciting new Rudbeckia which produces masses of large double and semi-double flowers in a rich shade of golden yellow. Each flower has an attractive black central cone, typical of Rudbeckias, which makes a pleasing contrast as the flowers develop. 'Goldilocks' is very free flowering over a long period from July onwards until frost.

Trialled in 1982, Geranium Scarlet Diamond was found to be very early, dwarf and have a compact plant habit with excellent leaf zoning. The variety was sent in by the Walz company and the breeding work was done at PAC Elsner.

Florence' est un type de Tagetes complètement nouveau, sélectionné à partir de Tagetes erecta et de Tagetes tenuifolia. Cette plante à massif a hérité des meilleurs caractéristiques de ses deux parents, en particulier des fleurs simples à demi-doubles, une floribondité et une résistance incomparable aux intempéries. Ces plantes peuvent atteindre 50 cm de hauteur, et les fleurs d'un bel orange doré se dégagent bien au-dessus du feuillage. Elles produisent le meilleur effet dans des plates-bandes composées, et peuvent aussi être cultivées dans de grandes jardinières. 'Florence' peut être cultivée très facilement à partir de semences. Elle est commercialisée au Printemps comme plante à massif.
