Fleuroselect is gearing up for the next trial season! Our members have entered 24 new breeding achievements for testing on our international trial field network. Depending on the species, the new varieties will be tested either in the pack and/or on the field, in containers, or will be directly sown, and compared with two or three resembling commercial varieties. Trial fields are located in The Netherlands, Germany, France, U.K., Switzerland, Sweden, Italy, Denmark, Poland and Russia. As always, the new entries are very diverse. This year’s trial will include varieties for the professional market such as Antirrhinum, Calocephalus, Echinacea, Gazania, Helenium, Helianthus, Perovskia, Phlox, Salvia, Sedum, Verbena and Zinnia; varieties suited for home gardening like Calendula, Cosmos, Phlox and Tropaeolum; and patio vegetables Ocimum basilicum and Solanum lycopersicum.
