Pelargonium x hortorum Orange Appeal

Gold Medal

'Orange Appeal' is the first true orange Pelargonium variety grown from seed. The beautiful, bright orange colour is very distinct and attractive and because of this, the Fleuroselect judges awarded it the Gold Medal. Other qualifications such as earlyness, uniformity and beautiful flower heads also helped to justify the medal.

In detail

'Orange Appeal' is the first seedgrown, true orange Pelargonium variety. The beautiful, bright colour is very distinct and attractive. It also scored high on the other qualifications in the Fleuroselect Pack Trials, such as growth, earliness and distinctness. These strong features of 'Orange Appeal' are of much importance to Professional growers for early production of bedding plants and also for beautiful pot plants. Home gardeners will not have problems growing their own Pelargonium 'Orange Appeal'. They can be planted out in flower beds, tubs and window boxes after the last frost. In the garden planting distance should be kept to 30x30 cm., to avoid botrytis at the end of the season.
